How to get there: From downtown Moab
Drive north out of Moab on Hwy. 191 to the Colorado River and turn right onto Highway 128 (the River Road) and drive on it until you reach Mile Marker 21. This is the same intersection for Fisher Towers, but turn left or west toward the river, not east to Fisher Towers. Once on this dirt road, drive for 1/2 mile until the road divides. Bear right, through an open green gate. You are now on the Hauer Ranch and you will see several buildings. When the road divides next, take another right, and drive up to the barns. Park by the horse trailers.
How to get there from Arches National Park
When you leave the park entrance, turn south/left onto Hwy. 191 and drive on it until you cross the Colorado River bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn left onto Highway 128 (the River Road) and drive on it until you reach Mile Marker 21. This is the same intersection for Fisher Towers, but turn west toward the river, not east to Fisher Towers. Once on this dirt road, drive for 1/2 mile until the road divides. Bear right, through an open green gate. You are now on the Hauer Ranch and you will see several buildings. When the road divides next, take another right, and drive up to the barns. How to get there from Grand Jct., Colorado and I-70
The Hauer Ranch is about 75 miles from Grand Jct. To access the ranch directly from I:70, take the Cisco exit and drive on the frontage road to Hwy. 128. Travel on Hwy. 128 for about 21 miles to mile marker 21. This is the same intersection for Fisher Towers, but turn right, or west toward the river, not east to Fisher Towers. Once on this dirt road, drive for 1/2 mile until the road divides. Bear right, through an open green gate. You are now on the Hauer Ranch and you will see several buildings. When the road divides next, take another right, and drive up to the barns. Park by the horse trailers.

If you have come to the Hauer Ranch for a trail ride, drive to the barns and park by the horses trailers. If you are here to stay in the guest house, drive to the guest house and make yourself at home. Do not drive up to the other residences on the ranch; they are not offices. |
